Our weekend school opened its gates to families living in the United Kingdom in September 2012. Our main goal is that our children learn as many Hungarian customs, folk songs, folk tales, games as possible and we also try to get them more familiar with their Hungarian cultural heritage.
When selecting the educational material, we always keep in mind that our children are at different levels in Hungarian – even if it is not an easy task for us. Our school is not only about structured learning! We offer different free time activities and games for the children. In our experience, children happily learn in a school-like environment, among kids with the same cultural heritage. We truly believe that the educational programme of the Hungarian School is a great way for our children to keep their Hungarian identity.
