Introduced by Colin Ford, Founding Director, National Media Museum

PHOTO EXHIBITION

To coincide with the London Fashion Week the Hungarian Cultural Centre opens the photo exhibition of the talented young Hungarian photographer Lili Zoé Érmezei, who has made a special selection of her photography for this unique occasion. The collection comprises photographs of ordinary women and models who radiate like iconic Madonna figures of our everyday lives.

Lili Zoé Érmezei holds an MA from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Budapest. She also attended the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera of Milano. Her work has been shown at several solo and group exhibitions in Hungary as well as in Paris, London, Cologne, Luxembourg and Krakow. Femininity, the female body and body image constitute her key topic.

Lili's photograph called 'Judith' was exhibited in The Mall Galleries London in June as a finalist selected from the 6000 entries at the successful International Renaissance Photography Prize 2012 exhibition.

Colin Ford will introduce Lili Zoé Érmezei and her Neighbourhood Madonnas at the private view on 12 September. Colin Ford is a distinguished photography expert, who worked as the first Director of the National Museum of Photography Film & Television in Bradford (now The National Media Museum) and was the curator of the highly acclaimed Eyewitness: Hungarian Photography in the 20th Century – Brassaï, Capa, Kertész, Moholy-Nagy, Munkácsi photo exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in 2011.
