Jazz Concert of Tamara Mózes in the Hungarian Cultural Centre
„This young lady from Budapest has made a big impression on us thanks to her vocal and pianistic ablities."
(Pascal Derathé. Jazz-Rhone-Alpes, 2016)
Singer and pianist Tamara Mózes is a unique performer of the new generation of Hungarian jazz artists. Accompanying herself she sings standards and original material with lots of improvisation.
She graduated as a pianist at the Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest, then went on to receive another degree in singing and improvisation in Paris where she produced outstanding results. In 2011 she received a French state scholarship. Of her tours the most memorable was her 3-week series of solo concerts in the United States. Without exaggeration or hype, one can say that her debut album was nothing short of sensational. After her first duo album (In Spring, 2010) she recorded her second disc (Album of the Ear, 2014) in Paris with a quintet of French musicians. Her new solo album, (Moozing) was released in early 2017 by the French label, Yolk Records.
„Tamara Mózes stands out due to her musical originality: the singer-pianist offers the public
a new way of performing which has nobody tried before in Hungary"
(Kornél Zipernovszky, Fidelio)
Tamara's music is inspired by jazz, pop, chanson and composed music. Her programme offers an intense emotional and intellectual experience at the same time.
