reTHINK Hungary
A Central European design fair in London

The reTHINK Hungary and the V4 is a whole-day design fair in central London organised by the Hungarian Cultural Centre with the participation of the Visegrád 4 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia). The event focuses on the topic of recycling and rethinking with the aid of a design fair, fashion shows, concert, panel discussion, workshops and gastronomy.

The fair will feature some of the best Hungarian designers (selected by WAMP - the hungarian design market) who will be joined by outstanding London-based Czech, Polish and Slovakian artists. The fair reflects on the topic of recycling and rethinking.

Rethinking, recycling:
The artists and the designers of the V4 region have long been forced by circumstances to rethink their methods, the ways to reach audiences and their work in general, therefore to use methods of recycling in its broadest sense. Creativity and innovation often flourished in the hardest times, when at first it seemed impossible to work as an artist, either because of hard financial circumstances or the censorship of the socialist era. Through the underground movements often the easily accessible and cheap solutions brought the biggest values. Although the censorship is long gone, this alternative way of thinking is still the strongest attribute of the region, and in our opinion, this is what makes these artists and designers special in the West.
