Monday Jazz with Krisztián Oláh

The Hungarian Cultural Centre gladly presents an astonishing young pianist, Krisztián Oláh. Join us after a tough Monday and enjoy some relaxing fine jazz music.

The highly talented young Hungarian musician KRISZTIÁN OLÁH is famous for his breathtaking technique and his passionate melodies. During his studies he also experienced the classical tones beside jazz and has already developed a highly individual yet approachable style.
In the last few years the young pianist became a famous figure of the sparkling jazz life of Budapest, and he also started to conquer other parts of Europe. He was 17 years-old when he won the solo piano competition at the Targu Mures International Jazz Festival in Romania. During the following years he piled success upon success at similar competitions in the UK, Latvia and Holland. He was still only 20 when he came third in the solo piano competition at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival. Within the next two years he won five different awards.

Check out his virtuosity in this video.
