Orsolya Fenyvesi at the European Poetry Festival

The aim of European Poetry Festival is to bring together some of the finest literary and avant-guarde poets of this generation and to share it with the public. They present new collaborative performances from some of Europe's most exciting European poets. This special Camarade, an interim event for the wider European Poetry Festival, will be a extraordinary night of live poetry and experimentation that brings poets from 20 European nations together in London.

With other remarkable talents now they introduce ORSOLYA FENYVESI, a Hungarian poet and translator living in Budapest. As a poet she is interested in transitions of everyday and private life to historical, symbolic, abstract and common meanings, in magical thinking, in the visual tokens of momentarily reality, and is keenly studying the limits and boundaries of the self, the very subject of death, and the unexpressable. Her own poetry collections include The Animals in the Mirrors ("Tükrök állatai", 2013), Siege ("Ostrom", 2015), and The spectacle / Commentaries a book of experimental poetry is about to be published. She translated several English language poets to Hungarian, among others Steven J Fowler, Emily Berry, Anne Sexton, Adrienne Rich and Anne Carson.   Her poems have been translated into English, German, Serbian, Romanian and Turkish.
