SON OF SAUL actor Levente Molnár
in discussion with Henry Fitzherbert, film critic of The Express

Son of Saul w Levente MolnarLászló Nemes' Son of Saul (Saul fia), 1207 levente molnara critical hit at Cannes and an Oscar hopeful in the foreign language film category, is a masterful debut feature that brings an entirely fresh visual language to Holocaust, to this most challenging of topics. The film focuses on Saul, a Jewish member of the Sonderkommando in an unnamed death camp, who after discovering the body of a boy who he takes for his son, is determined to give him a dignified burial. Avoiding the temptation to divide protagonists into good and bad, Nemes paints a disturbingly nuanced picture of the moral imperatives and daily realities faced by all.

debut feature, is a Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca) and London based actor and a member of the Hungarian Theatre of Kolozsvár.
